2016-05-02 Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 off runway at Pristina
On landing in rain, the 737 overran the end of the runway at Pristina Airport ending on the grass.
Scheduled passenger flight TK 1019 from Istanbul touched down on runway 35 at Pristina Airport in rain but could not be stopped before the end of the runway.
At the last portion of the runway, the aircraft veered to the left where it rolled completely off paved surface coming to a stop on the grass about 50 meters further and 20 meters to the left of the runway.
No emergency evacuation took place. All passengers and crew disembarked safely via the forward right hand door R1.
Damage to the aircraft is believed to be minor if any.
Pristina’s only runway 17 / 35 is 2501 meters (8205 ft.) in lengh.
