The
crew was in preparations for departure, when a private car slammed against its
fuselage resulting in substantial damage. The Audi was crushed and became
stuck underneath the center fuselage section. All passengers and
crewmembers evacuated the aircraft without further injuries. Local officials believed the
driver commited a deliberate act when he drove down two sets of
gates and rushed directly towards the stationary 737. Air Force personnel
responsible for the airport security arrested the driver who is understood
to have received only minor injuries. His motives were still unclear. The
737 underwent repair work at Lagos.

On
landing runway 16R, the A380 suffered multiple tyre bursts on the left main
gear side making the aircraft unable to leave the runway. Ground
oberservers as well as passengers watching the live onboard camera view spotted lots of sparks and flames before coming to a a smokey
stop. Airport operations are affected until the A380 was removed by a
ground vehicle. There were injuries among passengers or crew.

Due

During
initial climb after take-off from runway 28L at San Francisco
International Airport, the pilots were alerted by the tower of conflicting
traffic. A smaller Aeronca [PHOTO]
registration N9270E was flying at 1.400 feet directly in their flight path
forcing the pilot to take evasive action. The pilots immediately levelled
off clearing the other aircraft by estimated 200-300 feet (60-90 m). Also,
TCAS issued an audible traffic alert and a "descend" resolution
advisory. When the conflict was resolved, the flight continued to its
destination and landed safely at Beijing. The incident is under
investigation.

end of the runway coming to a stop with its nosegear in mud. At the time
of the incident, the weather consisted of intense rainfall causing lots of
patches on the runway. According to local media, damage to the aircraft is

After
coming to a standstill on the landing runway 05 at Leister B Pearson
Airport, the cabin was evacuated via chutes after an acrid smell appeared
after touchdown. A number of passengers were slightly injured in the
evacuation process. Earlier on approach, the pilots reported hydraulic
problems and difficulties in steering the nosegear. The smell is believed
to have originated from spilled hydraulic fluid.

Very
soon after lift-off from runway 29 at Darwin-International Airport, the
aircraft was seen entering a steep bank angle before it hit trees an
impacted in a nearby golfcourse breaking apart on impact. Both pilots did
not survive. They were doing a training flight without passengers at the
time. Local weather was described as good with unlimited visibility and
calm winds.

The
aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing outside the airport of
Tallinn on the frozen surface of Uelemiste Jaerv (Lake Ulemiste), about
500 metres short of the runway 09. The airplane remained intact and came
to a stop on the ice enabling it all persons on board to evacuate the
aircraft and reach the shoreline. According to local news reports, the
pilots earlier informed the tower about an unsafe left maingear indication.
A go-around maneuvre was initiated, but due to a decrease of engine power,
the An-26 began to loose altitude making it impossible for the crew to
land. The aircraft contacted bushes and small trees on landing close to
the shore and sustained substantial damage to its horizontal stabilizers.
Meanwhile, the aircraft was pulled off the ice and is being dismantled.

Immediately
after take-off from runway 25 the Islander aircraft failed to get
sufficient height and impacted treetops behind the end of the runway. It
crossed a public road before it crashed into a densely wooded area where
it came to rest in a nose-down position amidst coniferous trees. All 3 on
board survived the accident with various injuries. Built in 1967, the
accident aircraft was the oldest operable BN-2A Islander in the world.

immediately after touchdown. The landing roll was safely completed but the
A319 was unable to vacate resulting in a closure of the runway for at
least 6 hours until the aircraft was removed and the runway was cleaned of
debris. Thre were no reports about injured persons. According to
unconfrmed reports, the nosegear jammed in a 90-degree angle before
landing.

According
to press reports the aircraft suffered a landing mishap on runway 03 at
Bagram Air Force base at the end of a cargo flight. The A300 came to rest
with its left maingear collapsed allowing the left engine, left wing and
aft fuselage to struck the ground. There were no reported injuries among
the crewmembers. The aircraft suffered substantial damage.
