Due
to circumstances unknown, the pilots aborted the take-off run on runway 23
at high speed. The pilots were unable to stop within the remaining runway
distance. The Canadair came to a stop in the EMAS (Engineered Material
Arrestor System) overrun area. Neither passenger or crew were injured.
Damage is believed limited to the undercarriage. Charleston Yeager airport
was forced to close operations for 6 hours until the aircraft was removed
out of the arrestor bed. Runway 23/05 at Charleston is 1921 metres (6.300
ft) in lengh. At the end of the EMAS safety zone, terrain is steeply
downsloping.

During
take-off rotation, the aircraft suffered a separation of both
engine cowlings on the left engine #1. The pilots continued the take-off but elected to return
to land. The landing was safe. A post landing inspection revealed severe
impact damage to engine pylon, aft fuselage, left wing, tailfin and left
main gear. Lots of debris was found on the runway 12R/30L.
NOTE: Unfortunately, ATC did clear an incoming Boeing 717 (N906ME
operating for Click Mexicana on flight CBE 7323) to land on the same
runway before debris was removed, resulting in an burst nosegear tire when
the 717 ran over debris.

approach the pilot reported an unsafe gear indication and made a low-pass
along the runway. ATC confirmed gear was fully down and the aircraft
proceeded with the landing. However after touchdown on runway 07, the
right main gear gave. The Aircraft drifted off the runway edge coming to
rest on soft ground. The pilot and co-pilot (a married couple)

| The
A300 was only seconds into its take-off run on runway 19R, when it
suffered a contqained failure of its left engine (GE CF6). Immediately it began to
slide off sideways to the left of the runway. The aircraft came to rest on
in snow on uneven
ground about 250 meters from the runway threshold. All passengers and
crewmembers on board were able to leave the aircraft via airstairs. Runway
19R/01L remained closed for several hours until the A300 was removed.

final approach to runway 04R, the pilots received indication about a
malfunction in the main gear deployment and entered a holding pattern to
resolve the problem. After the flight circled west of Newark for a time
the pilots commenced to land. On landing the right main gear appeared to
have collapsed allowing the right engine to strike the runway. All 53
persons on board left the aircraft via emergency chutes. Newark Liberty
Intl Airport for closed for about 30 minutes. The exact amount of damage
to the A319 is unknown at present.

aircraft received major damage when its undercarriage was accidentaly
raised during parking on Apron 5 at Nassau Lynden Pindling International
Airport. The incident took place during flight preparations but before
passenger boarding.

after its landing run, smoke was observed coming from the left main gear.
Airport fire services swiftly arrived and the smoke disappeared. It
appeared, the aircraft may have suffered a minor hydraulic leak after
touchdown. However, the A340 took-off for the return flight to europe with
passengers two hours behind schedule. |

| Shortly
after take-off the pilots noticed abnormal engine vibrations and elected
to return to land at JFK Airport. Engine debris was found on a quick
runway inspection causing all runways at JFK Airport to be unavailable
either due to crosswind, maintenance or debris removal. After holding for
about 30 minutes, the flight was cleared to land on runway 31R and a safe
landing was made. Post landing inspection showed that an engine cowling
was amiss and may have detached during take-off run. |
