damaged beyond repair 
Before its landing run was completed on runway 25, the aircraft suffered a total collapse of its landing gear resulting in major damage. The aircraft came to rest on its belly close to taxyway "Bravo" which connects the main apron with remote runway 23/05. All on board left the aircraft unharmed. According to local press reports, the pilot reported undercarriage problems after take.off rom Cabinda but elected to continue the flight.

In good weather conditions, the aircraft made a heavy tailstrike resulting in structural damage to the aft fuselage. No injuries have been reported. Aviation sources reported the A320 contacted the runway tail-first before main gear touchdown was made. Repair is estimated to take months.

On take-off run, a loud bang weas heared coming from the right hand engine #2 and large flames were seen behind the exhaust pipe. The take-off was safely abandoned and the aircraft came to a stop in a taxyway.

When the DC-9 reached an altitude of about 2.000 feet after take-off, the right engine #2 caused unusual vibrations and experienced a loss of thrust. The pilot shut the engine down and returned to Buffalo for a safe landing.

On landing runway 15 at Wamena, the pilots were unable to stop the Antonov within runway lengh (1.657 m). The aircraft travelled past the end of the runway with considerable speed and slowed to a stop in an adjacent field near a river embankment. Both pilots sustained injuries. Damage occured to the right wing and undercarriage. The Antonov was owned by the National Logistics Agency of Indonesia (Bulog).

Shortly after take-off the pilots encountered hydraulic problems. Further flight was cancelled and the aircraft returned to land at Jakarta International Airport. However on landing the pilots apparently lost directional control and the 737 drifted off the runway to the left at low speed where it came to rest with its nosegear on the grass. All passengers were bussed to the terminal. Airport operations were hampered for about two hours.

The aircraft hit treetops and crashed on farmland on approach to Senador José Porfirio Airfield. The accident location is close to kilometer 23 on the autoroute PA-167. The aircraft left Belem on 12:58L. The pilot-in-command as well as one male passenger did not survive. There are reports the pilot failed to gain sufficient height when he repositioned the aircraft after the flight became misaligned with the approach path.

After passenger disembarkation at the gate, flames were seen coming out of engine #2 (right). The flames were quickly extinguished with on board devices before airport fire services arrived. Very shortly after take-off in darkness and gusty winds, the aircraft failed to gain height. The pilot is believed to have encountered engine problems preventing him from returning to the airport. A few miles off shore, the aircraft crashed into rough seas apparently breaking apart on impact. On landing runway 24 in low vilibility conditions, the undercarriage struck the roof of a parked van on the runway. The landing run was safely completed with only minor tire damage. The driver escaped without injuries. At the time of the incident, foreward visibility at the airport was reduced to 350 metres in fog. The van was parked on the runway for maintenance work on the runway´s ground lightning system. The incident is under investigation.

Due to circumstances unknown, the pilots aborted the take-off run on runway 23 at high speed. The pilots were unable to stop within the remaining runway distance. The Canadair came to a stop in the EMAS (Engineered Material Arrestor System) overrun area. Neither passenger or crew were injured. Damage is believed limited to the undercarriage. Charleston Yeager airport was forced to close operations for 6 hours until the aircraft was removed out of the arrestor bed. Runway 23/05 at Charleston is 1921 metres (6.300 ft) in lengh. At the end of the EMAS safety zone, terrain is steeply downsloping.

During take-off rotation, the aircraft suffered a separation of both engine cowlings on the left engine #1. The pilots continued the take-off but elected to return to land. The landing was safe. A post landing inspection revealed severe impact damage to engine pylon, aft fuselage, left wing, tailfin and left main gear. Lots of debris was found on the runway 12R/30L. 
NOTE: Unfortunately, ATC did clear an incoming Boeing 717 (N906ME operating for Click Mexicana on flight CBE 7323) to land on the same runway before debris was removed, resulting in an burst nosegear tire when the 717 ran over debris.

On approach the pilot reported an unsafe gear indication and made a low-pass along the runway. ATC confirmed gear was fully down and the aircraft proceeded with the landing. However after touchdown on runway 07, the right main gear gave. The Aircraft drifted off the runway edge coming to rest on soft ground.  The pilot and co-pilot (a married couple) escaped without injuries. The aircraft was closed for hours.

On landing runway 19, two main gear tires burst before coming to a safe stop on the runway. The aircraft was unable to leave the runway forcing the closure of the airport for more then 3 hours until the 727 was removed by ground vehicles.

The A300 was only seconds into its take-off run on runway 19R, when it suffered a contqained failure of its left engine (GE CF6). Immediately it began to slide off sideways to the left of the runway. The aircraft came to rest on in snow on uneven ground about 250 meters from the runway threshold. All passengers and crewmembers on board were able to leave the aircraft via airstairs. Runway 19R/01L remained closed for several hours until the A300 was removed.

On final approach to runway 04R, the pilots received indication about a malfunction in the main gear deployment and entered a holding pattern to resolve the problem. After the flight circled west of Newark for a time the pilots commenced to land. On landing the right main gear appeared to have collapsed allowing the right engine to strike the runway. All 53 persons on board left the aircraft via emergency chutes. Newark Liberty Intl Airport for closed for about 30 minutes. The exact amount of damage to the A319 is unknown at present.

On landing at Borispol Airport in foggy conditions, the 4-engine transport aircraft veered to the right of the runway sliding to a stop on soft ground. The aircraft spun around for nearly 180 degrees. There were no reports about any injured persons on board. The Il-76 was at the end of a ferry flight without any cargo shipment on board.

In the middle of the cruiseflight, a crack was discovered in a cockpit window forcing the pilots to descend to a lower altitude. The flight was continued and a normal landing at Ubon Ratchathani was made. There are other reports the 737 also suffered some kind of engine trouble and landed with one engine shut down.

Immediately after its landing run, smoke was observed coming from the left main gear. Airport fire services swiftly arrived and the smoke disappeared. It appeared, the aircraft may have suffered a minor hydraulic leak after touchdown. However, the A340 took-off for the return flight to europe with passengers two hours behind schedule.

Shortly after take-off the pilots noticed abnormal engine vibrations and elected to return to land at JFK Airport. Engine debris was found on a quick runway inspection causing all runways at JFK Airport to be unavailable either due to crosswind, maintenance or debris removal. After holding for about 30 minutes, the flight was cleared to land on runway 31R and a safe landing was made. Post landing inspection showed that an engine cowling was amiss and may have detached during take-off run.
