taxy to the terminal, when it failed to hold before the parallel runway
14L/32R (lengh: 1.828 m) where the commuter aircraft was about to land.

During
post-maintenance ground checks, the nose gear suddenly collapsed resulting
in structural damage to the nose underbelly. According to local sources a
safety pin, preventing unwanted gear movements, was not inserted when the
gear handle was actuated inside the cockpit. Some sources close to the AA
maintenance crew at Ft.Worth indicate the aircraft may have been damaged
beyond economical repair.

suddenly gave way causing a rapid decompression in the cabin and a
deployment of oxygen masks. The pilots safely diverted to Charleston.
There were no reports about any injured persons on board. The aircraft was

During
its cruiseflight a number of avionic systems went blank for about a minute
among them all airspeed indications, the autopilot and the auto throttle
system. After safe flying conditions were restored, the A320 continued
safely to its destination. At the time, a frontal system with thunderstorm
located over france, is believed to have affected the flight. The incident
was closely investigated by french authorities after similar occurences
happened to other Airbus flights, one of them ended with a crash in the
Atlantic Ocean on June 1st. The A320 was equipped with the more reliable
"BA" pitot tube sensors.
NOTE: The aircraft in question is the only aircraft in the fleet
wearing the retro livery of the 1960s. |

after
touchdown on runway 16R, the aircraft suffered a tailstrike resulting in unknown damage
to its aft underbelly. However a safe landing rollout was achieved. There
were no injuries on board. At the time of the incident, strong winds were
blowing across the airport with velocities exceeding 30 knots. Narita´s
main runway was closed for about 80 minutes due to debris inspection. |

Just
about the beginning of the pushback maneuvre, smoke was observed in the
cabin prompting the pilot-in-command to initiate an emergency evacuation
via slides. A small number of passengers (unconfirmed reports give a
number of 15) received some minor cuts and bruises. The nature of the some

| During
routine cruiseflight over southern Italy, air traffic control (ATC)
observed the aircraft descended from its normal flight level of 380
(38.000 feet) to flight level 200 (20.000 feet) without any clearance from
the ground. Two fighters were dispatched to intercept and follow the 737.
As the G8 summit in nearby Aquila took place, fear of a possible terrorist
attack arose. The pilots then informed ATC about an technical problem and
the aircraft safely diverted to Rome-Fiumicino Airport. |

via taxyway "Sierra" smoke and flames were briefly observed but
