2016-07-31 Sun Express B738 off runway at Stuttgart
the aircraft ended on the grass whilst turning off the runway on landing. There were no injuries.
Sun Express Germany flight XG 3264 from Varna just landed on runway 25 at Stuttgart.Echterdingen Airport, Germany and was about to vacate the runway via taxiway „India“ (second to last exit) when directional control was apparently lost.
The Boeing 737-800 drifted off the runway at half the angle needed to vacate into the taxiway where it departed paved surface coming to a stop with all undercarriage on the grass.
There were no reports about any injured persons among passengers or crewmembers.
Stattgart Airport needed to close all operations until the 737 was removed after about four hours.
At the time of the landing the weather at the airport was good but with some thunderstorm activity in the area.
