Narrative

The aircraft was severely damaged in a take-off accident at Karachi International Airport, Pakistan. All on board managed to escape only two passengers were injured.

According to local news reports, the Beech 1900 aircraft was on a charter flight, about to take-off from runway 25L at Karachi-Jinnah International Airport.

Immediately after lifting off, the aircraft suffered unknown engine problems resulting in an immediate loss of power. Additional hydraulic problems developed during that stage of flight.

The pilots elected to carry out a re-landing on the remaining part of the runway. The aircraft made a gear-up landing but directional control was eventually lost thereafter and the aircraft skidded on its belly to the right side. It came to a stop near the western end of runway 25L close to the right edge the nose pointing southward.

An unknown number of occupants sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. Their number ranged from two to four.

Both propellers broke off and the aircraft was substantially damaged. The main runway of Karachi Airport is blocked for hours until the Beeech 1900 was removed.
