2016-01-26 China Airlines Boeing 747-400 off taxiway at Vancouver
After landing the Boeing 747 departed the taxyway while doing a turn coming to rest on the grass. All on board remained unhurt.
China Airlines flight CI32 just landed normally on runway 08L(eft). After cleared to taxi via taxiway „Mike5“ and „Mike“- while the aircraft was turning to the right in a tight angle – part of its undercarriage ran off paved surface until the 747 came to rest on the grass.
There were no reports of any injuries on board.
Damage to the aircraft is considered not existent or minimal.
Pilot reported „..we´re out of a taxiway“.
Taxiway surface may have been slippery from recent drizzle. At the time visibility was good but twilight conditions prevailed.
